Me, doing Fan-art, maybe you should check outside to make sure the sky is not falling.
This spawned from a piece of nostalgia, as I was going through some of my old games; I found an old gem, Starfox Adventures. The only good game in the Starfox series, and if you try to correct me otherwise you deserve to be punched.
I think the main reason I stay away from the practise of Fan-art, is my finicky attention to detail. Sure my interpretation of Krystal is far removed from the original, but then if I wanted to copy their way of 'drawing' her then I will aptly get a photocopier.
But I will say about the game in that I did find the choice of character rather disappointing, at first they had a great concept. A blue anthro-fox girl on a planet full of dinosaurs, but then they remembered that they were Nintendo, and so they injected a good dose of masculinity to the main ample phrase, replacing a cute fox girl with an annoying fox twat. Hence changing the title so they might hope to squeeze in Mario somewhere if they had half the chance. But the game still sits high in amongst my greatest games evar, minus all the carry on.
Although I will say that I greatly admired Krystal, although her influence in the game could easily be near sided down to damsel in distress. But what I'm trying to say is that the character had allot of potential but then she met another lamer character and was dragged down to his level.
If I had the dosh and my own company I'd buy the rights to the character and build a game around the prelude to Starfox adventures.
So I think I shall stop ripping on Nintendo's silly decision and get to as to why I decided to draw this? Well long story short, Krystal is the reason I started to draw Anthro characters in preference to human ones, hence giving rise to Ralxila.
I'm betting that allot of my viewers were expecting Raylxstk's somebody, sadly not. Although Raylxstk was named after this character.
So enjoy this piece as I strangely enjoyed drawing it and now if you all don't mind I have to go and draw something original.
(⌐■_■) fuk yeah!! I am a girl yet not girly. I love the color green and hate the colour pink. I am messed up, im biologically a girl but i act like a guy
I think that SFA is very, very good, after all, but don't give blame to other titles. Sure, they are different, but not bad. I love Zelda, so i Love SFA, too. But in my opinion, other Starfox titles are as good as Adventures. This is my opinion, though.
Lovely interpretation of the character, and I like how you've assembled the background. The detail in her fur and accessories is wonderful... but I have to admit, the line:
"...if I wanted to copy their way of 'drawing' her then I will aptly get a photocopier."
Well, that just earned you my +Like forever... and here in western Washington state, the sky is always falling.

You can't read my t-shirt 'cause my beard covers it.
I've played all the games of the starfox universe, and i agree that more could and should have been done with krystal. This game in particular found a place in my mind as a personal favorite. It's a shame that the shoddy attempts to expand on it didn't have much effect. about the pic: your style is very well developed and unique, i've yet to see her drawn quite that way. i would hope to see more of this from you in the future.
